Everglades K-12 Publishing, Inc. is a Florida company, founded by Kevin Bechert and Barbara Nunn, to provide on-target educational support products for Florida schools written by Florida educators. The FCAT 2.0 assesses the Florida Department of Education 2007 K-12 Mathematics Standards, the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. At each grade level K-8, the Standards are organized around three Big Ideas and several Supporting Ideas, as adapted from the NCTM Curriculum Focal Points for PreKindergarden through Grade 8 Mathematics. At grades 9-12 the Standards are organized in Bodies of Knowledge.

The Big Ideas and Supporting Ideas at each grade level K-8 determine the grade level's mathematics course description. Benchmarks from the Bodies of Knowledge are assigned to each grade 9-12 mathematics course. All mathematics courses have new descriptions aligned to the new Standards and benchmarks.

Everglades K-12 materials are written to the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards, not just correlated to them.
